I'm at my sister's house in North Yorkshire. Wide country views from the back garden over fields as far as the eye can see, with the fells in the background touching the clouds - or is it the other way around?
What peace here - space to think. . .
I've already been out on a mountain bike and done a 3 mile run (lots of uphill) - a good start to my physical-training schema. But I've been productive too musically. We've been scouting the area for good video locations, and they're many around here. Tuesday we made two videos - songs from the album - with an audience of sheep, and ambient sounds of wind, water, twittering birds. . . and bleating sheep. . . lots of sheep!
Finally got some half-decent photos of myself for "publicity" purposes - it's not just about looking good for the camera, but more about me getting used to seeing myself on photo and video without cringing - accepting the crooked eyes, the wrinkles, the thinning hair, the wonky teeth, and still feel comfortable and natural. We're all vain to some degree, right?
Below are some pics from the first photo-shoot. For the first "Live-on-location-song-video", you can see it on my YouTube Channel here: Not So Bad
